Double Fusion allows you to combine two of your already-saved hybrids together to create a 4-parent powerhouse that breaks through the standard 10-star ceiling. However, each attempt consumes 1 Fusion Token. Follow this checklist to ensure you do not waste precious resources or accidentally sacrifice your combat fighter.

1. Check Your Two Input Hybrids

Unlike standard fusion which uses unlocked base ingredients, Double Fusion exclusively combines two hybrids currently saved in your pen:

  • Choose Hybrid 1 & Hybrid 2: Click the Double Fusion pedestal to open your saved hybrid list.
  • Inspect Input Stats: Note down both hybrids' stars, $/s income, and combat levels.
  • Critical Caution: Do not select your primary Wild fighter! If you fuse away the high-level hybrid you spent hours training on the treadmill, you will lose your combat progress and have to train another fighter from Level 1.
  • Ideal Inputs: Pick two high-star passive income earners (such as 8★ Tankwasp + 9★ Antowl, or a Golden Shiny roll).

2. Confirm Token Cost & Execute the Fusion

  • Token Requirement: A recording narrates that Double Fusion consumes 1 Fusion Token per attempt. We have not re-read the confirmation screen, so treat the exact cost as recorded-from-speech, not verified.
  • Acquiring Tokens: Fusion Tokens can be earned as rare combat drops from high-tier zones in The Wild, or purchased from the shop (1 Token for 80 R$, up to 50 for 2,800 R$).
  • Press "Double Fuse": Once both hybrid slots are filled and you have at least 1 Token, confirm the fusion animation.

3. Read the Result Screen (Stars, Variants & Income)

When the new creature appears on the platform, carefully read all fields on the result screen:

  • Name & Four Ancestors: The result displays a composite name and lists all four original parents (e.g. Cheeseburger + Stingray + Stegosaurus + Wasp).
  • Star Grade: Breaks past standard limits, reaching 11★, 12★, or higher.
  • Variant Tag: Look above the stars for special mutation rolls:
    • Golden Shiny: Gold metallic appearance with significantly elevated earnings. (Example on record: Venusflylytrex at 10★ and $429/s).
    • Diamond Shiny: Crystalline blue skin. Recorded Diamond 7★ results were $25/s and $38/s, against $27/s–$42/s for standard 7★ results, so no fixed bonus has been established.
    • Iridescent Shiny: Shifting rainbow shimmer. (Example on record: Stegosebungray at 12★ and $1,540/s ($1.54K/s)).
  • Income ($/s): Check the final cash rate. One Iridescent Stegosebungray ($1.54K/s) yields over $5.5 million per hour of passive earnings.

4. Did This Improve Your Pen Income?

Before celebrating, verify that the new hybrid improves your overall economy:

  • Net Income Calculation: Compare the new hybrid's $/s against the combined $/s of the two parent hybrids you merged.
  • Click "Save Hybrid": Always click Save Hybrid to add the new 12★ creature to your active pen!
  • Space Management: If your pen is at capacity, the high income of a Double Fusion easily justifies replacing lower-tier 4★ or 5★ creatures.

Common Double Fusion Pitfalls

  • Fusing Low-Tier Starters: Never spend a Fusion Token merging two 3★ or 4★ hybrids. Double Fusion is designed for late-game optimization; save your tokens until you can combine 8★+ hybrids.
  • Assuming Guaranteed Multipliers: Do not assume every Double Fusion will automatically double your money. Variant outcomes (Standard vs Golden vs Iridescent) vary based on roll odds.
  • Sacrificing the Fighter: Always double-check creature names before hitting confirm. Never fuse your dedicated treadmill fighter.
