1. Choose Your Fighter
Clicking The Wild opens a list headed "Pick a Hybrid for The Wild". Each row is one of your saved hybrids and shows four things:
- Its name and combat level (freshly fused hybrids appear as Lv. 1).
- A
$/srate, which is its pen income and not its fighting power. - Its star count.
- Any charm attached to it, such as
Ember CharmorArcane Charm.
Pick the hybrid with the highest combat level. Income and combat level are separate numbers, so the top earner in your pen is often not the best fighter.
2. Read the Zone Label
Before the fight starts, the HUD shows the zone name, a difficulty tag and a Recommended Level. These are the values recorded on screen:
| Zone | Difficulty shown | Recommended level | Confirmed by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grasslands | Easy | 1 | On-screen label |
| Desert | Medium | 10 | On-screen label |
| Arctic | Brutal | 135 | On-screen label |
| Mushroom Marsh | β | 125 spoken | Spoken only |
| Snow Area | β | 1,000 spoken | Spoken only |
| Jungle | β | 4,250 spoken | Spoken only |
Read the recommended level as advice, not a lock. A recording shows a player entering a zone labelled level 10 with a level 9 hybrid, so the number is not a gate you must clear.
3. Read the Enemies
Enemies are hybrids with their own level and health bar. A recorded Arctic encounter showed two enemies both tagged Waspede Lv. 155, one with HP 41/81 and the other with HP 106/456 β so enemies of the same name can carry different health pools.
While a zone is active, the HUD tracks your objective, for example *Defeated 1* 0/5. Clear the displayed objective to open the way forward.
4. Reach the Reward Room
Clearing the objective leads to a room headed:
Pick a Reward Or keep going
Reward pads sit on the floor, each showing what it holds. A recording shows an animal pad next to other pads, and a Return to Pen button pinned to the top of the screen at all times in that room.
Three practical points:
Return to Penalways works. You do not have to gamble on the next room.- The reward is an observation, not a guarantee. A pad that showed a Wasp in one recording is not proof that the same pad always offers a Wasp.
- Step fully onto a pad so the selection registers before you leave.
5. Choosing Between an Animal and an Egg
When the pads offer both, decide from what you already own:
- Missing a parent for a recipe you want? Take the animal.
- Already hold both parents for a pair you want? An egg adds an extra hybrid instead of duplicating a parent you cannot use twice.
Check the pairing a new parent would unlock before you pick, because a parent with no useful partner only takes up a slot.
When a Run Does Not Go Your Way
- Your hybrid is dying quickly. Compare the zone's recommended level against your fighter's combat level in the picker list, then go back and train.
- The reward you wanted is not on any pad. The recordings only show what appeared in that particular run. We have no recording of the reward list refreshing or rotating, so we cannot tell you how to force a different list.
- You are not sure what you picked up. Check the animal list before fusing; a rescued parent unlocks a specific set of recipes.
Whether losing a fight costs you cash, levels or banked rewards is not confirmed by any recording we have checked, so this page does not claim that defeat is free.
